2018 Firebird Festival
This past weekend marked the 15th year Phoenixville celebrated its history with the iconic celebration of the mythical Phoenix!
Designed to signify the rebirth of the town and to remember the Phoenix Steel Mill, the Firebird Festival gathers people from all around to burn the giant wooden Phoenix.
Food vendors and shop owners set up booths surrounding Veterans field, where the event took place this year.
Also, the Phoenixville Police, Paramedics, and Fire Department were all in attendance, to make sure the event was safe and fun for everyone involved!
Throughout the night, bands, fire dancers, and fans of the Phoenix celebrated this symbolic occasion.
As the bird was set aflame, attendees came together to appreciate the accomplishments of the volunteers who helped build it, and everyone who had a hand in making this year’s Firebird Festival so special.
