2018 Canal Day at St. Michael's Park

One of the Phoenixville Area’s longest running summer traditions returns for it’s 36th year, and judging by last year’s event, you do not want to miss it!

This spot is brought to you by…

Canal Day makes its return to St. Michael’s Park in Mont Clare, on Sunday June 24th. Run by the Schuylkill Canal Association, the event is the association’s way to raise awareness of the significance of the Schuylkill Canal, and how it impacts the growth and continued prosperity of the community.

Of course, there are a slew of activities planned, similar to prior events, and includes:

  1. 5 Mile Schuylkill River trail run

  2. Kids fishing derby

  3. Canoe and Kayak Races

  4. Food Trucks and other food vendors

  5. Beer Gardens and Live Entertainment, including a number of local musical guests.

All of this, and much, much, more. For a full list of activities, rules, and start times of events, please check the website at: Schuylkillcanal.org

Festivities begin at 9 AM and run to 5 PM. Please be advised that Towpath Road will be closed due to Vehicular traffic all day, with the road re-opening at 5 PM. A Handicap-accessible shuttle bus will also be available to bring people back and forth from the parking area to St. Michael’s park, until 4 pm. This service is free of charge, but parking at St. Michael’s park will cost $5 dollars.

Looking for a summer fun that is across the river from Phoenixville? Expect no more than Canal Day at St. Michael’s Park.
