Last weekend a local sports league hit the start of its 2019 season, and both parents and kids were excited to get the ball rolling! The Kimberton Youth Athletic League held its opening day ceremonies, one of the few days throughout the season where the entire league is in attendance. As a tradition at KYAL, each child’s name was announced, ensuring every player felt like a champion. Team by team, players and coaches gathered on the field to be recognized by the league, followed by the inaugural pitch and the National Anthem. The Phoenixville Community Health Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary this past Thursday, April 4th.
Over the past 20 years, the Foundation has focused on improving the health and quality of life in the Phoenixville area through donations, grants, programs, events, and leadership.
Attendees enjoyed wonderful food, live music, and the opportunity to connect to members of other communities that have benefited from the organization’s work.
20 years is a major milestone, and the Foundation plans on continuing to support the community far into the future!
