This weekend, Vegfest makes its return to Phoenixville, offering healthy and alternative vegan-friendly food options to all. Sponsored by the Peace Advocacy Network, Phoenixville 3rd annual festival features a wide-array of activities, including various vegan food vendors, live music, and Vegan advocates who are dedicated to promoting healthy and sustainable living for all. A popular event, Vegfest is particularly welcomed to Phoenixville, as several local restaurants and eateries offer vegan-food options. 2018 Pierogi Fest

Do you enjoy pierogis enough to where you think there should be a festival? Well do we have good news for you! On Saturday September 29th, the 4th annual Pierogi Fest returns to Phoenixville for a fun-filled day with the savory dumpling. Hosted once more by the Holy Ghost Orthodox church, this year’s Pierogi Fest is sure to be the best one yet, with entertainment including music and trivia games for people of all ages! The event is scheduled to begin at 3pm and run until 8pm. General admission is free. Parking for the event is also free, and can be found in the church parking lot. On Sunday, September 16th, Black Light Projects in cooperation with Bethel Baptist Church will be celebrating the 36th Anniversary of Andre Thornton Day. We are starting the day with fellowship at Bethel Baptist Church at the 11am service and continue on to Andre Thornton Park in the afternoon and early evening. In addition to fellowship, we will have loads of great entertainment, lots of food, and fun with games for adults and children. BLP will also be making our first ever Legacy Award presentations to 3 very deserving, local legends. Come on out and join us for an inspiring and joyful day! Hope to see you there.

Run, Walk n' Roll at Charlestown Park

Want to welcome September with a stroll through a local park? You’re in luck! Happening on Sunday, September 9th, Orion Communities is proud to host the first annual “Neighbors helping neighbors Run, Walk n’ Roll”. Two different races will be held: A Run, walk n’ roll 5k, and a 1-mile walk n’roll, which is open to the use of Strollers and or wheelchairs. Both races run simultaneously: from 8:30 AM to noon at The Charlestown Township Park. Online Registration is open now until September 7th at 11:59 pm.
